A staggering array of encoders, buttons, and switches are always assigned to a parameter, depending on what you're working on at the moment. It's easy to create your own custom control maps, but the beauty is that the Rhizome SXE makes you feel like you're loading up patches on a hardware groovebox, even though you're actually working with software.

Powerful computer processing and connectivity
The Rhizome SXE packs an i5 2500 quad-core CPU with 4GB of RAM - ample power to run even large sample-based VST instruments with ease. A built-in 500GB hard drive gives you plenty of storage for your projects and files. It's easy to connect external drives and devices too, with six USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one gigabit ethernet port, one eSata port, one HDMI port, and one DVI port. There's one MIDI input and three outputs, for controlling external gear with the Rhizome SXE's sequencer. And balanced TRS audio I/O is ready for connecting to a sound system or recording equipment.

VST compatible
You can install your own Windows-compliant VST instruments and effects onto the Rhizome SXE, creating your own custom set of sounds that you can pull up instantly.
