Rack Extensions give you the flexibility that your friends who use other DAWs have long enjoyed. What you don't get with Rack Extensions is the hassle. The quirky behaviors that are entirely different from plug-in to plug-in (and completely contrary to how your DAW works!). You don't get instability, nasty crashes, version compatibility issues, authorization aggravations - we could go on.
