MusicLab's RealStrat offers up convincing electric-guitar sounds - in a unique virtual instrument plug-in. Using your MIDI controller, you can play in chords just as you would if you were playing a virtual piano instrument. Puts a great guitarist inside your computer
Enjoy great-sounding electric guitar tracks, even if you don't play guitar, by using MusicLab's RealStrat. This innovative virtual instrument uses guitar samples and special Floating Fret Position technology, to achieve realistic guitar tones and chords. As you play in changing notes on your MIDI controller, RealStrat responds to them, adjusting chord shapes the way a guitarist would move about the neck. In fact, you can play up to 140 guitar frets, by using just 46 standard MIDI keys.

Perform with expressive guitar techniques, using a MIDI controller
In addition to RealStrat's Floating Fret Position technology, there's also Guitar Touch technology. With it, you can use your MIDI controller's pitch-bend wheel, modulation wheel, sustain pedal, and after touch features to tap into guitar-specific techniques. Perform strumming, plucking, sliding, bending, and muting styles-just as a real guitarist would play.

All samples recorded directly from a real Fender Stratocaster
To achieve the great sound in RealStrat, MusicLab recorded each sample using a real Fender Stratocaster. They then used special multi-channel layering technology to create a custom library of samples taken from every fret of all six strings of the electric guitar.

Includes Built-in Pattern Manager
Using RealStrat's built-in Pattern Manager feature, you have instant access toa range of natural rhythm patterns and strumming patterns. In fact, there are 1,250 patterns included, covering a wide range of music styles, and giving you great points to dive off from, in creating your own parts. When RealStrat is used as a plug-in, the Pattern Manager will sync to the tempo of your DAW.

After you've crafted great guitar parts, use the included IK Multimedia AmpliTube Duo modeling software to put the tracks through the perfect signal chain for the song. Add distortion or a touch of delay, then send it through an accurately modeled vintage amplifier - RealStrat puts amazingly convincing guitar parts into reach, AmpliTube Duo then helps you put them into the right context for your song.

Works standalone or as a VST and AU plug-in
Use RealGuitar 2 inside your favorite VST- or AU-compatible DAW host. Or, you can use it in standalone mode to practice your virtual guitar chops or perform onstage.
