i picked this item up only a few days ago, and it has already changed the way i do everything in my home studio. you can tell a piece of new gear is having an impact when it encourages you to either re-arrange or buy new furniture to accommodate it.
The integration into reason 3 is seamless, even when running reason as a rewire slave in ProTools LE. From their website it looks like more software packages will me be supported in the future through firmware updates.
i would have given this a 5 except for minor contrast issues with the display. setting the contrast at one viewing angle (i.e. when sitting down) makes it almost invisible at another viewing angle (standing up)

Novation has done it again! Remote SL25 is one the best midi controllers the market. I hooked this baby up to Ableton Live It automaped my favorite virtual Instruments not only was it easy, it also came with an Instructional training dvd. Amazing!
The Unit: Completly worth the money. I would recomend it to anyone. Simply Blown away by the quality of this product so many things to do and easy to get around to.

This controller is money well spent. I initially bought a M-Audio Axiom 49 and it can't even compare even when I leave Automap out of the equation. All the controls respond beautifully in Cubase, Reason (Especially, for Reason owners), and Live 5 (have not had a chance to work in Logic yet). The two screens show more than enough parameters and Automap trims a lot of the tedious work, along with the fact you can create your own Automap. Just so you know everything is not all peaches and cream with it, creating Automaps and templates could be easier, I would have prefered pitch and mod wheels,the screens are by no means BIG (not tiny either),the drum pads could have been bigger, and I should have bought the 61 key!!! But even through it all I couldn't take more than a half point from this Rolls Royce of MIDI controllers.
