Great for modern dance genres

I own too many hardware synths, and always looking for something to compete with them. Rapture is thick, fat, analog sounding, whatever you'd like. It's pitch perfect for progressive house in the style of Deadmau5, EDX, Noah + The Man, etc. Also suitable for that modern electronic hip hop. Arguably, the workflow could definitely be better, and the routing configurations aren't as clean as in some synths, but this is one synth you must own!

Ignition Overload!

I held off purchasing Rapture for about 2 years after it debut in the soft synth world, however after viewing Computer Music's recent Top 10 Software Synthesizers special video with Rapture coming in at 7, I decided to go ahead and buy it.

I was astounded at the extremely wide palette of sounds that Rapture offered. Not to mention the mind-blowing sound-shaping capabilities that it offered! It'll probably take you a whole lifetime to play with all the sounds in Rapture!

The defining factor of Rapture is in its slogan: Synthesis Ignited. The sounds were absolutely full and rich, and lives up to the hype that its very inspiring with sounds like no other soft synth out there. I got engrossed experimenting and doing minor tweaking of the sounds to suit my taste. But really; not much editing is needed for someone like me because the presets already sound great!

My only gripe is that there is no defined arp section or effect plugin that you can insert a sound into.

I believe I got more bang for the buck in Rapture than I did for Spectrasonics' Atmosphere synth module.

Sounds Are very Big and Clean

Out of the box and First thought I had was, "What a Great Sounding Module" this thing sounds so goodstereo image are full and wide. Still learning how to use it. Havent read the Manual yet but so Far I think this is a Keeper. Great leads Great Pads arpegio's sound cool and new .... but I I know there is alot more under the hood... Keep you posted.
