Based on reviews from professionals and semi professionals alike, I have long since been wanting to add these to my studio arsenal. After putting these to use in my studio, my decision to switch has ... read more [+]proven more than sound, it has me wondering why I didn't switch sooner.November 24, 2012 Music Background: Musician/Producer/Engineer I'm formerly a MoPad user (which are not at all a bad product, especially for their price range) - but I am completely blown away by this product. The Recoil Stabilizers have enabled me to mix much more easily and effectively than I have prior to utilizing them. Frequency response from my monitors is now exceptionally tight and defined across the spectrum, imaging is MICRO-pinpoint in accuracy, transients are as sharp (or as dull) as I want them to be - in short, I'm able to really hone in on my mixes without having to THINK about honing in, the truth of my mixes are just THERE, enabling me to make good decisions without occasionally having to guess. I'd recommend this product highly to any engineer, regardless of environment or experience. I also want to take a moment and thank my sales rep, Chris Lewis, for always providing the best level of customer service I have ever had from any gear retailer - he's truly amazing, transparent as can be and is the main reason why Sweetwater is my choice for studio gear. Thanks, Chris!! close [-] These really work....

First, in an effort to cut costs, I tried the Auralex Grammas (made for GTR & Bass amps and a sub-dude because the Mopads are too small for my monitors. Compared to just the monitor on the bare stand... read more [+], the Grammas got me about 60 to 70% down the road to tightening up the bass frequencies. But, these Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizers are significantly better at tightening things up.June 15, 2012 Music Background: Pro Drummer / Project Studio Owner My monitors already sounded great without any isolation pads. Then, I set them on top of the Grammas and at 1st, I was not happy because it sucked away the swimmy, low-end, frequency-Soup that was created by not using any isolation pads.... it was a noticeable change. I honestly did not realize that all this EXTRA mid to low end stuff was being added to the mix without using iso-pads. Eventually, I broke down and coughed up $600 for 3 of these bad boys for my Focal Twin 6be's and Sub 6. It really was another Significant Improvement in tightening up the low end. Because my brain was used to the way things sounded before using them... again my first reaction was negative. But, my ears adjusted quickly and I'm honestly glad I got these. I think the price is pretty outrageous.... but, in the end, I think they're worth it. I resisted throwing down for these. We all want to save our money for the more fun gear... but, think of it like this.... We spend lots of time trying to research which tube will make our mic sound better or which compressor will make things sound just that much better, etc..... but, buying these will effect everything that passes through your monitors... mics, pre's, compressors... and ultimately the original source... the musicians. These definitely do what Primacoustic claims they do very effectively. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the price. The $99 model is fair.... but, $199 is a bit over the top. Yes, it's twice as much metal and foam... but... OUCH !!!! close [-]
