The Gibson Acoustic Limited Edition Master Archetype Custom J-45 Macassar Ebony acoustic guitar pays tribute to a classic advanced jumbo acoustic design while adding an incredible combination of exotic tonewoods and appointments. The Limited Edition Master Archetype Custom J-45 Macassar Ebony includes a Sitka spruce top, AAA African Macassar ebony back and sides, custom-width neck, handmade tuning machines, and distinctive inlays and trim. An ultra-limited take on a legend The venerable J-45 has been going strong since its introduction in 1942, but you've never seen a "Workhorse" quite like this one! Gibson Acoustic went to great pains to make the Limited Edition Master Archetype Custom J-45 Macassar Ebony both beautiful and functional, with Gibson Custom Shop rope top trim, an antique natural finish, custom handmade tuners, and a handwritten label signed by Gibson Acoustic luthier Ren Ferguson. Also included: a special Summer Jam '08 Certificat of Authenticity. Incredible tonewoods Of course, the Limited Edition Master Archetype Custom J-45 Macassar Ebony would just be a beautiful decoration hanging on the wall if it didn't sound fantastic; thanks to its time-tested design, solid Gibson Acoustic craftsmanship, and incredible selection of tonewoods, it most definitely does! This advanced-jumbo-style guitar features a Sitka spruce top with 1930s-style bracing, a custom neck width (1.77"), and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. Using African Macassar ebony for the guitar's back and sides gives the Limited Edition Master Archetype Custom J-45 Macassar Ebony a unique tone that more than matches its great looks.
