A Smart Way to Care for Your Amp - and Improve Tone!

Enhance your guitar tone and hear yourself better at the same time with the On-Stage Stands RS4000 combo amplifier stand. Whether you play guitar, bass, or keyboard, you can't cheat physics - if your amplifier is sitting right on the floor or stage, you're losing tone. Sound vibrations get transferred to the surface your amplifier is sitting on, deadening your sound. Put your combo amplifier on the RS4000 amp stand and you'll notice a subtle but significant tightening of low frequencies, as well as a more focused sound. And the tilt-back design angles your amp towards your ears, helping you hear yourself better at gigs. Elevate your amplifier with the RS4000 combo amp stand - you'll hear the difference.

On-Stage Stands RS4000 Combo Amplifier Stand Features at a Glance:
  • Tilt-back stand for medium to large combo amplifiers, with an easily transportable folding design
  • By decoupling your amp from the floor or stage, your tone will become more focused with a tightening of low-frequency response
  • Weight capacity up to 100 lbs., plenty for small- and medium-size combo amps
  • Rugged 3/4" steel tube construction finished with a black powdered coat
  • 14" upper arm length
  • 8" lower arm length
  • 12" x 8" footprint
Get the maximum tone out of your guitar, bass, or keyboard combo amplifier with the On-Stage Stands RS4000 tilt-back combo amplifier stand!

Simple but effective

I have tried other ways of getting a small amp at a level where I can hear it, i.e. using a chair, crate, higher positioned amp stand & even a wooden box/pedestal that added additional acoustic properties but this stand is by far the best, functional idea I have come across.
First it gets the amp off the floor eliminating bass coupling (booming). Next this stand aims it at your back so you can distinguish what's being played, very important for bass players to hear the notes & not a muffled rumble, so essentially cutting through the mix. When a bass player can hear themselves we tend to play at a lower volume which will make the sound engineer happier. As mentioned earlier, a chair or crate tends to decouple the amp so much from the floor that you get a thin transparent sound that no amount of EQ can overcome. On the other hand having a wedge shaped combo amp on the floor still gives you too much boom. I've had both a single 12" & a 210 wedge shaped combo amp & been frustrated in both instances. So in a nutshell this simple, lightweight stand does what all the others can't, hold your combo amp securely & in a postion that allows it to deliver a usable sound at a comfortable volume for everyone.
Technical stuff: bottom arms have a usable length of 7.5". Amp shown is a GK MB112 with a depth of 14.5" stand holds the amp securely w/o rocking.
Back arms have a usable length of 13.5" with a cross member that measures 12" at its highest. This may be a deal breaker if you have cables that plug in at that height. The GK has a power cable that barely clears the bar. (See photos)
I'm overall pleased with this stand & recommend it given the dimensions work for you. Otherwise go big & get the larger version.

The perfect stand for me

I use this for several different purposes. On small solo gigs I use it to place my Fishman Loudbox as a monitor. On bigger gigs I use it with one of my fender Deluxe Reverb amps. It lives in the trunk of my car ready for the next gig.

Great value for the price, I'll be ordering more.

I bought this use at home for a practice amp. It does exactly what it supposed to do. The small size is perfect for my Orange RT20 practice guitar amp and can def accommodate a much larger amp. I have room to grow... I won't move it much but it does fold flat for easy storage and transport. Given its simple yet effective design, it should be great when I have to take it out of the house. Why spend more on another brand when this does the job for less and is built just as well? My wife saw this for my practice amp and she wants one for her practice bass amp. I'll be ordering another for her and the large size for my daughter's Roland keyboard amp. If you are on the fence, buy it. With Sweetwater's great price, great customer service and easy returns/exchanges, don't wait years like I did. So much better than makeshift wedges or other stuff to tilt my amp up towards me. I should have ordered one of these years ago. Thanks Derek Schweizer, great shopping experience as always with Sweetwater.

Just what was needed

Having a smaller studio in home I needed a way to balance all my amplifiers. Joel Grumblatt was extremely helpful with product selection. This angled my Fender Mustang LT 25 just perfectly. Amazing the effect on sound with this small stand.

Thanks again Joel and the folks at Sweerwater.
Music background: Sell taught guitarist 8 years and new to DAW recording but loving the challenge.

Neede a little help

I have a Champion 100 XL. The stand worked pretty well, but wouldn't stay in one place. It kept wanting to fall backwards or forwards and not in one place. With a little modification I made it work. After screwing some stop screws into the frame, my amp is stable and I'm pretty happy with it.
