If natural sound is what you want, then natural sound is what you will get out of this Neve-designed ribbon mic. Never before has a ribbon mic like this allowed an engineer or musician to capture the lows and highs at the same time. Vocalists, guitarists, and orchestral musicans will absolutley love the sE Electronics RNR1!

James Loueyfrom Hong Kong September 2, 2010Music Background: Trained as a traditional sound engineer turned hobbyist The Most Natural Sounding MicI have used this mic on acoustic guitar, flute and vocals. This is so different to condenser mics. Lovely full bodied sound and "smooth" especially in the mids and low mids. There is enough highs for male vocals to shine in the mix.On Acoustic guitar is absolutely "God Send". My producer and I have never heard guitar sound so warm and beautiful. I am still experimenting with it on different instruments but it is now my first "go to" mic.
