DiMarzio IBZ Pickups The Ibanez RGA121 features IBZ pickups made by DiMarzio in the United States exclusively for Ibanez guitars. Harmonically alive with medium high output, DiMarzio IBZ's were made specifically for hard and heavy rock guitar styles. The tone of the IBZ V7 neck pickup is warm, smooth, and perfect for shred, while the V8 bridge pickup will cut through the room and come back at you with a vengeance. The RGA121 definitely shreds and crunches...but roll the volume back a little, kick in the neck pickup and you'll get as smooth and warm a rhythm sound as any vintage humbucker. Wizard Prestige neck and Gibraltar Plus Bridge Ibanez RGA121's Wizard Prestige neck features extra steps of finishing to give the comfortable feel of necks broken and rounded by years of dedicated playing. Something with a hardtail bridge and really great craftsmanship that plays super fast and could deliver seriously bone crushing metal tones under $1000. In my opinion you'll be hard pressed to find a guitar that plays as easily, and sounds as good as this guitar for the price.
