I did replace the factory DiMarzio/IBZ pickups with a DiMarzio CrunchLab in the bridge, and a DiMarzio LiquiFire in the neck position. Restrung with new Ernie Ball Cobalt strings. Now its perfect. People think I have a sustainer installed in the guitar, it sings. My tone is very much like John Petrucci. Refer to the sound on the song "Backs of angels" Use EVH 5150 III Mini and Digitech RP500 and Keeley modded Ibanez Tube screamer It rocks. I have the red model. It looks like red velvet.
