The RG's H/S/H configuration has been a long-time favorite among tone-seeking shredders, which led to the trio of killer Infinity pickups loaded in the RG2XXV. The neck position ceramic humbucker is voiced for tasty chording and rhythm work, while the Alnico bridge 'bucker is a brilliant lead pup: warm, yet snarling with serious attitude when you push it. In between, you get a high-output single-coil that serves up traditional spank 'n' sparkle on its own, and plays nice with the 'buckers in blade positions two and four. Bottom line?
