The XLR outs put sound quality at an altime high when your are recording and gigging but the 1/4 inches are still there for greater flexibility.The two Multi-sampled pianos will blow you away and are like nothing ever heard when it comes to that harmonic expression level.But you don't have to take my word pick one up from Sweetwater today and be prepared to be mesmerised when playing this awesome board. close [-]

Splitting and layering sounds on it is a piece of cake with the large buttons. You can adjust the weighting of the keys with a feature called 'touch control' . This is very cool. This way, you can adjust the resistence to match your own playing style. If I recall, there's about 5 different settings. The piano sounds, rhodes and others are superb. Also, this piano has a bunch of preset beats which can inspire song ideas. If you're just jamming by yourself, these sound very nice. There's really only two things I dislike about the Roland RD700sx. For one thing, it's heavy which makes it harder to transport especially if you gig pretty regularly. I'd suggest a good, hardshell case for sure. Secondly, as far as I know, you can't speed up or slow down the leslie effect on organ patches since it has a pitch/modulation lever. The Yamaha S90es (in comparison) has the wheels which gives you that control. Other than that, I can't say enough about this keyboard. I would highly recommend the RD700sx to any hobbyist or keyboardist who is serious about what they do. I'm really considering saving up for one . close [-] Add the SRX-7 for and unbeatable sound!

Best stage piano ever! Just here to pop in some advise. Try out the SRX-7 card. Best B-3, electric pno, Clav's, and synths. About 500 patches so it beats all the other SRX cards I tried.
