I'm really impressed with what Roland did with this GX series. Piano action has improved ALOT compared to 300SX, and plus the Superior Grand that was available in 700SX was finally made into this ser... read more [+]ies too. My only cons was the strings, it didn't quite impress me since they've done better job with the RDstrings and other SlowStrings tone, EP was also on the weaker side. But other than that you can't ask for more for this great price. Highly recommended for musician's that's looking for great sound in an affordable price and don't wanna carry tons of weight. close [-]

I think by far the most important aspect of a keyboard is it's keybed, and in that item, I put a 10 in score. About sounds, there're a lot of great vst that you can use if you want an oboe, or great guitar or even organ. The piano sounds on the Kurzweil are slightly better to my ear, but not enough to justify the extra weight. The EP and clav sounds are also quite usable.
