Customer Reviewsfrom Weaverville, NC USA October 29, 2012Music Background: Musician, recording engineer, live sound engineer, audio journalist Affordable controller does the jobI like to keep things simple. I needed a 61-key keyboard controller to play soft synths... no more, no less. The Alesis Q61 does that with no problem. Connections are simple: use USB both for powering and MIDI. Or use a 9V AC adapter (not included) and the MIDI OUT connector. The key action is a bit stiff. The device has two mod wheels and octave up-down buttons which are essential. Finally, the price is very reasonable.from My studio September 6, 2012Music Background: hobbyest, noise maker, live performances, I wanted a really basic controller and go it.It works, I cant fault it because its everything I wanted it to be; simple, strait forward and light. I use it when I'm away from my studio and want something light and portable. I cant stand controllers with lots of fancy knobs when I'm just trying to play something without needing to map everything in FL Studio. With this I just plug it in, fire up my DAW, enable as a generic controller and start playing music or recording song ideas. Its USB or midi controlling, USB or wall wart optional, can take a sustain pedal. What more would I need in a Controller keyboard?
