Pedalboard-friendly Power Wah Volume

The Morley 20/20 Power Wah Volume houses a top-shelf vintage-flavored wah and volume pedal in one convenient, pedalboard-friendly unit. This multifunction pedal shuns old-school pots and gears, instead packing Morley’s famous electro-optical design for whisper-quiet operation. Your solos will pop right out of a busy mix, thanks to the 20/20 Power Wah Volume’s built-in 20dB boost. The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate how this pedal’s premium buffer circuit safeguards against tone suckage, while silent switching ensures that zero “pops” reach your amp. The 20/20 Power Wah Volume features a rugged cold-rolled steel housing, LED indicator, and quick-clip battery door.

Morley’s 20/20 series — the start of a new era

Morley’s 20/20 series marks a complete revamping of the company’s line of pedals. The most obvious distinction of these pedals is their size. Unlike many of Morley’s classic beasts, the 20/20 series includes some of the most pedalboard-friendly boxes out there. You also get a premium buffer circuit that safeguards against signal degradation — a must if you’re rocking a long pedal chain. These pedals eschew outmoded gears and potentiometers for Morley’s world-famous optical circuitry, which makes them quiet and near bulletproof. Morley’s 20/20 pedals are so durable, in fact, that the company offers a lifetime warranty on them! All 20/20 pedals feature glow-in-the-dark treadles and LED indicators.

Perfect addition

I've always been a cry baby, so I was hesitant at 1st BUT I needed a volume/wah with an activation switch on the side instead of on the "nose" of the pedal so I tried the morley. Very badly with its sound, shape, and function.

Great pedal!

Made in USA from a reputable Company. Sounds fantastic and looks good. The volume sweep people are talking about is pretty close. You can get used to it and it's totally useable.
I'm diggin mine.
Music background: Former touring Musician. Thanks

Not Your Father's Morley, But Great for What I Needed

I bought this pedal to replace a 35-year old Morley vol/wah/fuzz in my signal chain with something that would fit in my case. I use the pedal at the front of my chain for three purposes: 1) cleaning up a dirty amp, 2) volume swells, and 3) wah effects. For these three purposes, this pedal exceeds expectations in a very compact package that fits in my pedal case. For those reasons, I'll give it a five-star rating. That said, this is not the pedal for everybody unless your needs match mine.

The usable portion of the pedal sweep for volume is very narrow and occurs in the last 3/4" of the sweep where it goes from zero to full volume very quickly. If you are using it for swells or to clean up your amp, this is a great feature and it works really well for that purpose. If you want something to fine tune your volume on a clean amp or to act as a master volume in your amp's effect loop, this is not your pedal -- you want one of the more classic designs with a more linear volume sweep curve. The usable pedal sweep for wah is a little wider than for volume and the tone is classic Morley, but the sweep (in terms of pedal travel, not tone) is still much smaller than a classic Morley pedal. It's still more pedal travel than a Cry Baby or a Vox, but not by much. There is a lot of dead pedal in the early part of the sweep. The wah AB's very favorably with my vintage unit and the shorter pedal travel actually makes it easier to use.

Construction is typically solid and it feels like a Morley other than the size. That said, it is really small, so if you have big feet or tend to play in boots, it might not be your first choice. The clearance between the pedal and the wah switch is very small and I can see some players struggling with it on a dark stage or after a couple of beers.

Morley Wah

I have been using a well-known Wah brand for a long time, and this is my first Morley pedal. The main reason I tried the Morley was due to noise in my pedal chain using the old pedal (which was located first in-line). I used this new pedal in a full 2-hour show this past weekend and was very happy with the result. The pedal did not contribute any noise to the signal chain and sounded great. I just need to get used to the placement of the on switch, which is a little tight in a live performance context. The volume pedal combination was also very useful for me, and it helped me to tame the downstream overdrive and distortion pedals.

I love Morley wah pedals

Always loved Morley pedals. This power wah/volume is great. I really like the the boost control, I can adjust the perfect amount of boost for my wah soloing.
