Pocket-sized performer
A potent recorder in a pocket-sized package! The Pocketrak CX includes a built-in high-sensitivity 90-degree X/Y microphone for natural-sounding stereo recordings. The 2GB onboard memory and USB capability ensure that you have all the storage capability you need. A re-chargeable "eneloop" AA battery built into the compact body allows dozens hours of continuous recording and play-back operation. A variety of different recording formats - from 16-bit/44.1kHz CD-quality WAV files to convenient MP3 - allows you to select the recording format for your purposes. This unit also comes bundled with Cubase AI4 software.

Pro features
The Pocketrak CX is the perfect addition to Yamaha's line of portable recorders. Keeping the eneloop and USB 2.0 features of the Pocketrak 2G but adding more professional features like 90 degree X-Y mic patterns, a peak limiter, and expanded UI options, the CX makes recording everything from recitals to rock shows incredibly easy - with great results.
You can also use this recorder's built-in playback speed adjustment (from 50 percent to 200 percent) for lessons or rehearsal applications.

Built-in speaker
The Pocketrak 2G is incredibly compact, but Yamaha managed to include an onboard speaker in addition to a headphone jack, allowing you to preview your recordings in the field.
