This little baby sure does pack a punch! You almost have to hear it to believe it. The Alesis Picoverb is great sounding reverb and effects unit designed for the budget-conscious musician or recording enthusiast. The 16 multi-effects presets include chorus, flange, delay, chorus/reverb, rotary speaker simulator, and more. It has an expertly designed 24-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion and is super-compact-about the size of a doughnut, but square.

The cornerstone of any small music setup is the reverb unit. Alesis made us salivate back in the day when they released the MIDIVerb, and the Pico is a worthy successor to that legacy. I mostly use it... read more [+] for the digital delay, the plate reverbs, and the hall sounds, and since this is the twenty-first century, I use them all sparingly. They're great to add sparkle to a dry synth sound or some whoomph to drums, and they add a nice ambience to vocals. And, best of all, it's small, and the price is absolutely right.
