Matt DuncanThe Pigtronix Philosopher's Rock is a "must have" for my pedal board. I use it first-in-line as a solid sustain and tone platform for my sound. It has a huge range of compression that goes from funk to country; and can sustain all day without killing tone. If I'm really feeling rude, I flick on the grit switch and push my signal chain into high gear. It has a sweet, yet smooth grit that pushes the front end of a tube amp into high-gear.
