by TFS from NY, June 2008
Music Background: Pro muscian
I brought the korg pa50 because I wanted to be a one man band so beside playing the keyboard and play the saxophone with it but found out that the sax sounded so good that I didnt need to play the real saxophone no more since that sax sound is as good as the real one as far as tht organ sound I had gotten the hammond sound using the bend lever getting the leslie hammond sound!for the money it's a great machine!
Works For Me
by John Brock from Central America, October 2006
Music Background: Semi-Pro Composer
I have had a pa50 for about 9 months. I have for years used an old piano for composing. This is my first electronic keyboard y synthesizer. I have found the program/perform features a bit confusing and also have some problems with the assigned functions of pedals changing when switching between programs. But, I think the sound is fantastic and setting up styles and arranging for live performance is pretty simple. I haven't even scratched the surface in terms of sequencing, recording etc. I'm still using it pretty much for live performances and composing. I had planned to buy a second for more flexibility in live performance, but am finding with a bit of creative programing, I am able to switch through functions pretty simply and quickly. The instrument is well worth the money and I very happy with the sound. The owners manual is not very good, but I find that through experimentation I'm learning to maximize the features.
Love and hate relationship
by Jun Narvaez from Laoag City Ilocos Norte Philippines, February 2005
Just purchased my PA-50 the guys at Yupangco recommended this unit for the sound and the price. It's a very handy piece of equipment from small halls to church auditoriums, I am a Church Musician and it is really easy to use and has that extra oopmh. I have encounterd problems with it though, Like when your shifting from style play to program modes some of the presets like the sustain pedal seem to malfunction. The latest disturbing observation now is that after a few times playing the PA50,after an hour of play there are some keys that don't function anymore. I called the support at the store and they told me that there might be some problems with the program, still in the dark though may need to bring it to the shop for repairs; Though it's only 3 months since I got it. Hope your support team is better.
