Major Peavey Touchdown!

It took me a while to realize that it was working correctly because I could hear the actual guitar. A friend of mine suggested using headphones so I could isolate the tone and whammo! It really is amazing and now that I've played it out a few times I am just overwhelmed at how cool it is. Even though it was expensive I sprung for the add on pack from Antares. I can't suggest that enough because I took my old MIDI controller from 20 years ago out of storage and now I can change tunings or instruments on the fly! Now I can cover the acoustic parts and then play an electric solo in the middle of a song. Seriously considering an AxeFx now because then I could really move everything up a notch. Great job Peavey!!

Very Happy with this Guitar

This guitar as it stands is an excellent guitar that will make life much better for you because of the auto tune but especially because of the solid tune intonation system. This is a well made guitar with a 5 bolt neck, a mid weight body, considering the extra electronics and 4 AA batteries. Everything was as it should be and worked well right out of the box. The only reason I bought this without trying it out is because I bought it from Sweetwater, and I trusted them. I loved the thin and slightly wider neck than some others, and the neck feel was really comfortable.
If you are like me and want to exploit the auto tune system, it is a bit of both investment and work to properly exploit the full system. You need the breakout box and a midi adapter and then you can purchase packages of guitar sounds, which are not really cheap, and you need a system to switch the sounds which is either a floor mount box or you can use an iPad as a control surface to switch to various guitar models, which is what i am leaning toward. Even if you just get the guitar and no accessories, you will be very happy with your purchase.

It's Quite Amazing...

A guitar needs to do feel good under your hands and be comfortable to play. I love the slightly wider finger board and thin neck, It's perfect for me. The body is well balanced, the pickups are very good. The gravy this guitar provides is the auto tune and solid tune perfect pitch and intonation system, WHICH REALLY WORKS, and is simple to use. All the hype you have heard about this guitar is really true. I am waiting for the breakout box which will expand the capabilities of the guitar a great deal.
Sweetwater had the guitar shipped the same day ordered and I would never buy a guitar unplayed except through them. I have a lot of trust in Sweetwater and they have not ever let me down.
Restring it with a good quality strings and you will be in guitar heaven.
