Customer Reviewsfrom Steelville, MO March 12, 2009 A Good Little CrossoverI bought one of these because I needed a new crossover for our monitors. I needed something that would allow me to create two biamped mixes to replace a troublesome Rane unit that was in the rack before.Features are spartian but adequate. There are no meters just a few controls, on and off switch and not much else. To me a crossover is generally a set and forget piece of gear anyway so this is not a problem. ALL connections are balanced and they are made using XLR jacks only, no TRS. I just used some ends and made some custom cables for the rack so this worked fine. XLRs are a bit more bulky but there are only 6 connections used in this setup so it's not a problem even on this one rack space unit. There is a real built in power supply and no "wall wart" which is a plus. Build quality is nice. I don't like the fact that Peavey is now building this gear over seas but it helps to keep the price lower. I like this one so I'm going to buy another one to use in another monitor rack. Sound quality seems to be fine in my testing. It'll get put to the real test at the gig this weekend. |
