Customer Reviewsfrom Eau Claire WI October 15, 2012Music Background: Live Sound Engineer, music composition student, gigging bassist/vocalist ImpressedI'm really satisfied with my purchase. I'm a poor college kid in a band, and I'd like to open my own audio company someday. I bought this monitor with both applications in mind. The first gig I brought this thing to, it was outperforming our mains substantially, with less power being delivered. This thing is LOUD AND CLEAR. We really put it through its paces since then, testing it with keyboards, bass, guitar, and vocals in the mix, and it performs admirably. It's a gem at the price point, and from my experience with other Peavey Products, I expect it to last a lifetime. from Michgan, USA December 1, 2010Music Background: Drums Nice monitor for the moneyI've been using two of these monitors at band practice for the past 6 months. We have run bass guitar and my kick drum through them with no problems, although I did have to replace the horn diaphragm in one of the monitors. Sound Guard™ IV high-frequency driver protection let me down. I ordered a new 14XT diaphragm from Guitar Center and it's sounding good again. I plan on buying two more of these monitors soon. I've been powering them with a Crown Micro-Tech 1200 and am using a Yamaha MG24/14FX mixer.from Boyne City, MI March 12, 2009Music Background: Gigging musician A solid choice for the cashThese monitors are much, much better than some of the cheaper brands out there, yet they don't cost that much more. It's true that they probably aren't as good as, say, a JBL, but you pay more for the JBLs. They're a great value and work flawlessly. They're also easy to transport from gig to gig, not too heavy, look cool, and seem sturdy. I've gigged with them about six or seven times so far and practiced with them quite a bit. We use them mostly for vocals, which they do well on, and some guitars and keyboards. We don't run bass through the monitors, but I hooked these up to my bass head to try them out, and they sounded fine. |
