Nice Deal

Great deal on a great DAW.

Although sometimes getting it running stable takes a bit of work, its is very worth the effort. I purchased mine in November of '11. The free upgrade to PT10 and the free assortment of awesome plugins made buying this package a no brainer. For the cost of buying PT10 new, I got PT9 & 10, the Mbox mini and 3 awesome plugins.

I haven't had to contact Avid's tech support yet, as there is a great community of PT users from hobbyists to big-league pros.

If you are shopping and have done any research on DAWs, you know how good PT is. With this package deal, there is little left to do but get it before this deal is gone.

AWESOME INTERFACE!!!!

I REALLY LIKE THIS SMALL PORTABLE MBOX MINI. I HAVE THE MBOX PRO 3RD GEN AND THE MINI WORKS JUST AS WELL AS THE PRO. RECORDED BRASS INTRUMENTS WITH IT AND SOUNDS CRISPY CLEAR. AVID REALLY PUT THOUGHT INTO THE MINI. GREAT PRODUCT

Awesome!!

I would have given it a 5 if it midi inputs. I thought they all did my bad but I'm not sure you would leave that out, especially in a digital age. Other then that I recommend it.

Solid.

Lots of trouble getting through the install of this on my MacBook Pro, but once I made it through successfully it's everything I expected it to be. Simple, easy, and exactly what it should be.

A great tool for the toolbox

The Avid Mbox Mini (with Pro Tools9) was just what I needed at the price I could justify.

I was in need of a small footprint tool to caputer a few voiceovers for a video project with a high powered audio editing suite that could also be used with other software applications. I have decent microphone selection, so this is a great companion to any mobile setup. I needed a high quality mic preamp that would add value to the audio quality without breaking the budget.

The setup was very straight forward and software and drivers were approved by our IT department too.

Avoid it at all cost!

It seems that Avid is run by Microsoft but I bet my house that Steve Ballmer is behind Protools hardware.

I got the MBox mini because a client at the TV station wants a Pro Tools suite. Well, the mini I got has so much noise and create new noises.

We are using it for voice overs, when I activate the input channel from the software I get a huge digital noise for a second. When I switch projects too.

When I listen to the audio signals coming into the unbalance inputs I can hear digital pop corn noises in the background, those imputs are supposed to be "balanced". Is not a cable issues and is not my particular unit issue because I have tested 2 other MBox mini and they have the same noises.

I have an MAudio interface at home that works like a charm and cost half of this.

My suggestion... do not buy it at any cost. We have ours and we do not touch it because is working barely fine as it is.
