Deep punch

Love this new performance series, makes it far easier to get a great quality DW set. I bought the tom(12,16)/snare(14x6.5) pack first. and then picked up this kick later when budget allowed.
Out of the box this kick sounds great, i didn't touch the tuning and it already had a great deep punch to it. Hits you in the chest in a way my old 20x14 kick never could.
Great sonic match to the rest of the kit, although i do wish the stain was a bit lighter, the kick i got was pretty dark so I can't see as much of the nice wood grain like i can in the toms and snare.
And don't forget some sort of protection for the hoop where your pedal attaches.
Overall, it's a great kick, and this new series of drums made it possible for me to own a DW kit when i never thought i could.
