Very Surprized how how much bass this delivers for the money and the weight, you can't beat it.

Great sound - not so sure about the quality

We purchased tow of these for my sons band about a year ago and have had two issues so far. First was a strong burned circuit card smell- sent it in with no fault found. Next, one unit simply stopped powering up, sending in under warranty now. They have not seen much in the way of live shows to date. These units are expensive to ship - $120.00 now for both times - not covered by warranty. We like them alot when they are working - great sound from such a compact package.

Questionable reliability of the amp module

I have been using several Crown power amps, from DC-300 to Studio Reference, without any disappointment so far. However the Crown amp module in one of my 518 subs went dead after the second gig.

Not Happy!

We've lost 3 in about 4 months. They just stopped powering up. Something seems amiss. Although Sweetwater has been super helpful and understanding.

sweetwater is awesome

my church bought this sub to take the strain off of our other loudspeakers. we have a small church and our system is never pushed very hard, but also wanted to add a little fullness to our system. first subs crown amp bit the dust after 2 days. second one quit after about 4 months. sweetwater read my review and made it right. now using a qsc powered sub (their newer model with 2 12" subs) and it rocks. my sales engineer (alan carter) is top notch and so is sweetwater. no one else has this type of service! No one!
