Beautiful Guitar! When you first lay your hands on this guitar, you will be blown away with the quality and appearance. This is a beautiful guitar. Clearly the price is missing a digit. I have a small collection of Martin and Taylor guitars and this fits in very well. The sound quality is well balanced with a "punchy ring" I usually only hear in more expensive guitars. I am very happy with this guitar out of the box and I can't wait to hear it age.

PRS SE Angelus CustomWith a lot of help from my sales rep Kurt Martin I managed to get my hands on one of these babies. I could not be happier with my purchase. I don't believe there is another guitar for the money that comes close. This is all around a fine instrument. It plays great, I am going to see if can lower the action just a tiny bit. It has perfect intonation, a crisp clear well rounded sound and looks like a much more expensive guitar. It also comes with a beautiful hard shell case. I truly believe PRS could not make a mediocre product if they tried.
I had had the opportunity to test drive some other name brandís high end model acoustics. I admit they did have little better tone but until I can afford 5k for an instrument I could not be more satisfied.
I have to say the folks at Sweetwater make it difficult to shop anywhere else.

Amazing SoundSounds better than the Martin HD28 I think, or at least just as good! Great guitar well worth the wait!

comparisons$795 for the Angelus SE with no electronics, vice $5250 for the Angelus with PRS electronics. Hmmmmm.
Taylor 2 series with a simple piezo pickup for $999. hmmmm.
After hearing and playing both, go with the PRS and call Sweetwater and ask the professionals which aftermarket pickup you should buy and have installed. My guy is Mike Harris, and he knows his stuff.
(PRS, where are the electronics that we need? Your guys have to figure out something! Come on Paul, your younger buyers need to get on board with PRS, and then buy more guitars when they can afford them.)
Five star rating because the guitar is the best i have ever seen in this price range. This is NOT an entry level quality guitar.
No brainer, considering the quality of the build, sound, and "hybrid fan" bracing, which sounds like about $3K.

"Best in it's class"I played all the prototypes of this guitar at PRS experience last year. It plays way better than other $800 guitars on the market. To get a better Taylor would cost over 2 grand. Martin? At least 12, maybe 15.

PRS SE Angelus CustomThe guitar had some orange peel in the finish. The sound is a little better than average. Playability is good. I don't know if I would recommend it to anyone. Online reviews and youtube made it sound a lot nicer.
