Amazing after you tweak it!

For those who are thinking about getting it, don't think about it. Just get it. Especially if you're doing home recordings recording praise music or even just playing live at church. Only thing i have to say is, google lincoln brewster, and go to his site, and go to gear. His patches sound PHENOMINAL! His tone is tremendous. If you do'nt believe me, listen to his records. none of them are real amps. That's all his patches.
It sounds great...

It sounds very good but in my opinion fails to hit the 5 star mark due to a few things. The interface is not as good as some of the competition and currently you can not edit via the computer. Drivers for recording should be available Oct 12 according to their website but the editing feature will not be available until Jan '08. It does have less Fizz than Roland COSM models but the GT-8 still is better in the effects catagory.
Vetta? I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' VETTA!!

Line 6's flagship product used to be the Vetta, but now I think that status now belongs to POD X3 Live!
First of all, this has a stunning collection of guitar and bass amps, vocal preamps, and effects! Now, I can record my bass, guitar, and vocal tracks with ease all through one interface. (NOT TO MENTION RECORDING THROUGH TWO GUITAR RIGS AT ONCE!) Sure it does not have everything in the Vetta, but who needs all those features anyway? It has everything you need to play live, record, and jam, plus - since it's just a processor - you can still use your favorite amp with this. I still wish that it had more effects from some of Line 6's tonecore and stompbox modeler pedals, like the oddness of the FM4 and the feedback from Dr. Distorto. However, it does have an effects loop to take care of that, whether from the floor or the rack. I will definitely make a point to buy this. I might even try to record bass and vocals through dual rigs.
