I don't know what happened to the user's unit from the previous interview, but I am ordering this one soon. I had the 180 watt version and sold it for $100 more than I paid for it. We got loud and the party was noisy. We never had to turn past 5 on master and 12:00 o'clock on each channel. Behringer makes excellent products and this is one of them. I bought this mixer to use with my Ampeg bass speaker (since the amp on that speaker blew) for use in my keyboard rig. I have 2 keyboards that I always use when we play live music. The unit ... read more [+]sits out too much so I had to move my rack rails back a couple of inches so that the rack cover would not crunch the knobs. Not a big deal.June 8, 2012 Music Background: Pro Musician Now that not-as-good part. It's fine at low volumes, but it's not really what I call clean sounding. Has that Behringer tweaky, rough edge sound characteristic of cheap amps. I question the power rating since I had to max the output of my smartphone to hear an mp3 played through the unit....Even with the Behringer at full volume it was loud enough to talk over the mp3. BUT is still great for small gigs where you have to haul equipment by yourself. Or, you could just make it part of your permanent setup and just use it to drive small monitors. It takes a feed from another mixer if you like. I would not use it for miking kick drums no matter what speakers you have. It will distort. Effects are certainly adequate. Pick a handful and memorize the numbers since there is no manual. No problem I found a decent slap. reverb, chorus, and some flangy stuff. I foot switch for the effect would be a really useful addition, as would a true stereo input. Overall it didn't sound any better than I though it would, but it didn't sound worse either...It will do the job for me, but I won't be using it to power a gym or outdoor gig. Small rooms, soft drummers, some nice reverb and it's a winner. close [-]
