An amazing range of classic tones
At first glance, the pickups on the Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310 look like ordinary humbuckers, but there's more to this guitar than meets the eye. The key lies in the Seymour Duncan Triple Shot mounting rings around the pickups. With the flick of a couple of switches, these amazing pickup rings let you choose between series humbucker, parallel humbucker, and two different single-coil configurations. The result is that you can configure the Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310 with a total of 16 different sounds, right off the pickup rings!

Incredible sound, outstanding playability
Pick up Wechter's Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310 and dial in incredible electric guitar tones, instantly. Thanks to its pair of great-sounding Wechter humbucking pickups and "MG" Control system, you can go from crystalline clean tones to singing leads at the flip of a switch. Wechter lets you take full advantage of these great tones, thanks to the Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310's balanced body design and the asymmetrical neck heel. You get total (and comfortable) access to the entire fingerboard! You'll also appreciate the smooth, stable Wilkinson tremolo bridge, which includes a steel sustain block and a slotted baseplate. This outstanding axe gives you an amazingly expressive playing experience.

Wechter's Plek Pro treatment
When you pick up a Wechter Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310, one of the first things you'll notice is how great this instrument feels. That's because each of these guitars is set up by hand in Wechter's US luthier shop. What's more, Wechter uses the most advanced neck-shaping technology available, the Plek Pro machine, to adjust the neck carve and cut the frets. This is the same pinpoint accurate neck-setup technology most guitar makers charge thousands of dollars for in their custom shops, and it comes standard on the affordable Wechter Pathmaker SB Standard PM-7310.

Includes Wechter Deluxe hardshell case
Wechter Deluxe hardshell cases are made to fit your Wechter guitar perfectly and keep it safe. Perfect protection for your Wechter guitar! An ill-fitting case won't do your prized axe any favors; you need a perfect fit! These cases are built road tough, and they cradle your Wechter guitar in fitted comfort. Put your Wechter guitar where it belongs - in a genuine Wechter hardshell case!

Just what I was looking for

I'm a beginning guitarist so I can't get too technical, but this is just the instrument I was looking for. It's a beautiful guitar and I just love the shape, it looks and feels great. I was looking fo... read more [+]r some variety in tone while I try to learn and the humbuckers with triple shot rings provides it in spades. The build quality seems excellent and the Plek treatment is spot on. I've got a couple of other reasonably priced guitars and checked out a few more, but this is the first one that came without some fret buzzing. I think this is probably the best bang for the buck available, and that's not even taking into account the nice hard case that it comes in. I definitely recommend it, and don't think anybody would be disappointed with the money spent. close [-]

I was expecting a so so guitar at this price point but this guitar is one of the best kept secrets around.. build quality is flawless, a joy to play, and easy on the eyes. but best of all is the sound... read more [+], it is very articulate at clean and overdriven tones. no mud at all. this is a bright cutting guitar like a maple capped guitar would sound. Wechter stock pickups are vintage voiced, very open with lots of depth. with the switching options there are so many sounds in this guitar and none of them bad. so versatile . I play in a top 40 country/ classic rock band that has required me to gig with 3 guitars , strat/tele/ and a humbucker parker or sg.. past 2 weekends I have played this guitar exclusively.. IMO there is not a better value in the guitar market today. Try one you wont be disappointed. close [-]

The Swiss Army Knife of Guitars

Although this guitar has a nice slim neck, the string tension feels a lot more Les Paul to me than Strat. It's heavy like a Les Paul, and although the tremolo isn't blocked, it has remarkable sustain.... read more [+]

In a lot of ways, this reminds me of the old Peavey T-60. 2 humbuckers than can be coil tapped and a phase switch. The only difference is that this has the added ability to run the pickups in series or parallel.

It's balanced, and feels good. This is definitely going to be a guitar in heavy rotation. close [-]
