Just got this board too. I might have goofed on this one... It appears this card is a solo card - meaning one note at a time. It really seems like it is meant to be used with a wind controller, not... read more [+] a keyboard. Not 100% sure on this, need to read the manual... As for sounds, very good - saxes are great. I'll probably keep the card, and heck, might even consider a breath controller. But if Yamaha came out with the next must have card, this would probably be the card I'd sacrafice. Saxes are very good though.
December 1, 2004 Music Background: It also has some cool ethnic sounds like Shakuhachi, Orcarina. All the flutes and reeds are good. The brass is so so. Trumpets are okay. The strings are terrible... the ES 8 strings are 10x better. Think of this board as the Al Donnelly (spelled that wrong) sax Sample CD Rom library but with a lot more expression but minus the falls and some of the other clicking samples. All instruments appear to be solo's, so this is for leads only. Not 100% sure about this, but that's how it appears. close [-]
