These things are great. 57's are the mics for snares & toms right? no more! These are basically 57's without the hassles. They are shorter so they stay out of the way. They are tougher for the ab... read more [+]use of repeated beatings of drummers who aren't used to having mics on their kits. They are actually pretty easy to hide from the drummers in the first place. They have a thicker padding in the head to handle higher SPL's. The only drums I don't use them on are the kick and the floor tom. For some reason a regular 57 still sounds better on the floor tom. The mounting system that comes with these mics is very durable and easy to use. It is all one piece easy to adjust no falling down or stripping out. The cable that comes with it is cheap but that is always the case with the cables that are included with mics. close [-]
