Customer Reviewsfrom North Kingstown, RI, USA April 9, 2012 Music Background: Retired electronics engineer. Excellent at an organ recitalRecorded an organ concert in Sayles Hall at Brown University in RI. The mike(s) were located on a tall stand near the hall near center. This mike captured the low frequencies beautifully. A very natural sound - just like sitting in the hall. Recorded on a Tascam 2488 NEO. This mike also has a nice warm sound when recording audio. (Use a pop filter for close audio recording, of course.)from Georgia January 20, 2011 Music Background: Gigging Musician There's nothing 'budget' about this mic!Let me preface this review with a little disclaimer: I am by no means a recording professional, so I have no high quality microphones to compare this to.With that out of the way, let me just say this: This is a wonderful little microphone! I purchased this from a local retailer to use for acoustic guitars and vocals. After recording a few tracks of my midrange acoustic guitar, I was blown away. Despite recording in an untreated room, I was getting some great natural guitar tones. Overall, I think this is an excellent microphone, and a great way to get full, natural sounding acoustic guitar tracks. I've yet to try it on vocals, but based on what I've heard so far, it'll be in my microphone drawer for a long time! |
