Customer Reviewsfrom Cimarron, Ks. December 3, 2011Music Background: active muscian, pro drummer, Hobbyist bass player. Ampeg 2x10 bass cabGreat Cab, didnt know which one to buy, the 1x15 or the 2x10, I figured having 20 in. of air pushing rather than 15 in. of air. teamed up with the PF-500 head plenty of power to cut through the mix!from Downingtown, PA October 24, 2011Music Background: professional bassist and amature recording engineer Distinctive Ampeg soundI got this cabinet to go along with my Ampeg PF-500 Portaflex head. I had a B-15 in 1968 and remember it fondly. This cabinet appears to be made well. I called the company and they told me it is made of poplar ply wood. The insulation inside the cabinet is neat and tight. The hardware seems sturdy and looks neat. At 44 pounds, it will be easier to get around than other heavier cabinets I have been using.Printing near the inputs in the back says "full range Inputs" That describes it very well. The tonal range of the Ampeg PF-500 head with this cabinet is wide and fun. All the way from the classic warm Ampeg sound to a crisp and bright modern sound. The clarity and fullness as I drop down into the lower register with intention creates that classic Ampeg sound I recognize and love. from Wisconsin September 17, 2012Music Background: semi-pro Ampeg 2x10 cabThis cabinet is great for low volumn gigs but don't push it. The speakers fart ( pardon my descrition) at mid to loud volumns. I 'm trading mine in for the new Fender Bassman cabs which handle louder gigs. Try one of these Ampegs in the store and push it alittle and you'll see what I mean. |
