This kit sounds incredible. The maple shells have full, sweet tone. I played the stock heads for quite a while and eventually went to my personal choice, Evans. I thought the heads made them sound eve... read more [+]n better. With the proper bass drum heads, the included pillow is not even needed. The snare took some work to get sounding good and the tom mounting could have been better, but these are the only shortcomings. All in all, this is an incredible value and a great kit for a working musician. close [-]
