Customer Reviewsfrom BOSTON October 6, 2011Music Background: I'm making my 15th album. Long time drummer. Roland has surely progressed!Hi Folks, I've been using midi drums for many years now and I've mostly liked to use a hybrid kit. I used triggered toms and bass drum, and I always used real snare and cymbals. I used Roland's TD-10 as my drum brain. While the response on the snare was fair, it still wasn't up to par for someone that plays articulate snare. It is fine if you just play the 2 and 4 thing, but that's not for me...most of the time. I wanted to see if Roland had improved, so I bought a used TD-12 and this PD-125SX snare. I was pleasantly surprised to find that... not only is it much more dynamic, but it has super fast triggering... without the machine gun effect. You can play really soft, to very loud, and the rim seems to act more like the real snare too. Much, much better than the TD-10 with PD120. I wanted to get everything into the digital domain, and now I really know it's possible. Thanks Roland for your hard work. from Chatsworth, CA July 13, 2011 Great PadI have nothing negative to say about this snare (or whatever you use it for). It's cooool. Don't forget to tighten that head!!!
