Here's the deal: If you're making hits (or trying to) and NOT using a Lexicon reverb sound, then you're hurting yourself. Let's face it, the collective mindset of the listening public is conditioned to hear a hit with Lexicon reverb (ala ALL the hits of the 70s, 80s, and most hits of the 90s). Soooo, if you want to sound like a hit, use Lexicon reverb. At least you will have stacked the deck a little bit. AND NOW, we can finally use that Lexicon sound inside the DAW via a software plugin!

Lexicon Very disappointing

Well, after demoing these reverbs - I finally know what's been missing in all my mixes - THESE REVERBS - THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!
(and I have all the other companies plug verbs, except Altiverb - which is next on my list to buy, after these.)
This is the Lexicon sound you all remember.
There's a free demo online - you'll see what I mean.
It's like - in my mixes, I've been looking at them through a dirty Southern Ca. Ocean all this time and now I'm looking at them through the sea in Tahiti - they're clear - you can still hear everything.
They don't seem to take a lot of processing power either.
Yes I'm disappointed - That now I'm going to have to cough up the $1,500 to buy them. (Only if I want my mixes to sound 98% better.)

Single best improvement to my mixes this year.

Yes, they're expensive, but this is the first time EVER that I've heard this quality reverb in a plug-in. My in-the-box mixes now have a depth and sheen they never had before. Cheers to Lexicon for giving us the sound in software! AND, this is cheaper than a PCM92, and you can use as many instanciations as you want.

$1500 ????

Finally some RTAS PLUGINS from LEXICON. 5.0 for quality & ease of use - 2.5 for price. plus I really didnt hear much of a difference between VintagePlate & Plate. For 7 rtas plugins, $1500 is not economical. Clean Reverb they are. U Can get great results with these plugins. But U can also get great results with UAD2 reverb plugins. Altiverb is another great product. I just dont think its worth $1500 especially the smaller package released for $600. great plugin bundle - TERRIBLE PRICE!!!! .. i suspect the price to drop quicker than norm.

Our Customers Say...

My Sales Engineer knows all his products. I can call and ask him anything and he's on top of it. Some other places just want to sell you something, but I've found Sweetwater to be a helpful, professional company to work with.
