I have owned this bass for two years now and in that time it has seen too many gigs to count and it is still going strong. Like any squire, it needed a good setup out of the box. Other than that, it has taken everything i have thrown at it in stride.November 16, 2009 Music Background: Recording Engineer, touring musician The tonal possibilities with this bass are fantastic! I can get hard, biting tones and smooth mellow tones with ease with both the P and J style pickups, both with individual volume controls. The Jazz neck on it makes it a fast player but prone to SLIGHT warping if you live in an insanely humid place like Hawaii, like me. The adjustable truss rod in the neck makes it a breeze to compensate for this though (if you have never adjusted a truss rod, I suggest you do some research first, not an impossible task, but difficult if you don't know how). I have gigged with this bass extensively and have never needed a backup, I got it used for $119 and to this day it is the best money I have ever spent on a good, solid reliable bass. If it were lost or stolen i would weep bitterly but buy another without hesitation. If you are looking for an inexpensive bass that still sounds, looks and plays great then this is the one for you! trust me! close [-] Smooth Playing Bass

This is a solid Fender Bass that has a jazz neck allowing you to play with ease. The controls for the pickups allow you to set your own tone. A smooth player at a very affordable price!
