An awesome active/passive preamp switch, a 3-band EQ, and pickup-switching controls give you full command over your tone. Speaking of pickups, the American Deluxe Precision Bass also comes with a hot new N3 Noiseless™ bridge pickup that adds glorious overtones to the signature P Bass^® Deluxe split-coil pickup at the neck. But the sound isn't the only smooth thing about this bass. Rolled fingerboard edges and a contoured heel make the American Deluxe Precision Bass comfortable to play and give you easy access to upper frets.

Beyond its ultra-smooth contoured heel, Fender's American Deluxe Precision Bass also features a redesigned neck that includes a robust 5-bolt plate and Posiflex graphite neck support-rod system, for unrivaled stability. Another thing you'll appreciate, especially if you've ever had the battery go out on your active pickups in the middle of a show, is the newly designed battery compartment. This compartment's cover uses flat head screws, so you can open it with a coin or a pick. And to make sure your baby stays safe, FENDER^® even includes an SKB molded case with TSA locks.
