I am quite satisfied with this bass for the most part. I is the best new Fender I have played in many years. It is built solid as a rock and is very comfortable to play. The finish is excellent, not s... read more [+]ticky feeling as some instruments feel. It plays with a comfortable, easy action. The preamp is, in my opinion, perfect. I also love the passive circuit (most handy if your battery dies on a gig). Fender really got that right! The precision pickup is awesome sounding, solid, noiseless & unyielding. The Jazz N3 pickup is my only complaint about this otherwise fab bass. It is supposed to be noiseless, but in both passive or active modes, there is some minor hum. It is not nearly as bad as a typical jazz bass. It is a great improvement over older models, but could still use some improving. Even with this slight complaint (I'm a hyper picky studio musician) I still love this bass tremendously & would highly recommend it. I'm even considering buying another one while Fender is making them this good! close [-]
