I read a review somewhere that mentioned this guitar sounded thin unplugged. I have not found this to be true. Its body size is slightly smaller than a dreadnought so its output is not as loud nor a... read more [+]s boomy. BUT, the sound is warm, punchy, and balanced. The tone woods are first class. The neck action is effortless once I changed out the cheap medium gauge factory strings. The electronics are great. Blending the magnetic pickup with the saddle transducer allows me to variably dial out the plinky attack of the piezo. The amplified sound, therefore, retains the natural qualities of the acoustic tone. I really enjoy the old-world look of the body shape and oval soundhole. It is a beautiful looking and sounding instrument. close [-]
