Great sound is in the details
The Takamine Pro Series P3NY acoustic-electric guitar benefits from quality tonewoods and Takamine's painstaking attention to detail. With its scalloped X-braced solid cedar top and sapele back and sides, the P3NY looks great and is tonally versatile enough to handle whatever playing style your musical mood dictates. And if you're playing out, the P3NY's luscious satin finish will certainly command your audience's attention.

Takamine - over 50 years of quality, great sound, and playability
The Takamine Pro Series P3NY acoustic-electric guitar is the result of over a half-century of Takamine guitar-crafting knowhow. Launched in 1962 at the foot of Japan's Takamine mountains, Takamine has been designing and building acoustic guitars that are seen in the hands of some of music's biggest stars. With quality and value as guiding principles, Takamine's instruments employ the finest tonewoods, construction techniques, and technical innovations such as the proprietary CT4B preamp system found in this guitar.

Takamine's CT4B preamp system gives you natural amplified tone
The Pro Series P3NY sports Takamine's CT4B preamp, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output - instantly. A feature of Pro Series guitars, the CT4B features three-band EQ, a volume control and a built-in tuner. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The CT4B is powered by a single 9 volt battery.

Superb Quality Guitar

Music Background: Played for 54 years and in several small local bands.
Guitar came set up perfect for me right out of the box. Great mellow woody tone. Very balanced. Couldn't find a flaw on it. All the wood and grains on top and back are very - very nice. Binding l... read more [+]ooks awsome too. It is very classy looking. All edges are smooth around the frets with none of the frets being high. Takamine's quality control department definitely seems better than alot of companies. And it helped knowing that Sweetwater checks out the guitars before it gets sent out also to make sure nothing was missed. Very solid tuners. Very cool looking with the amber buttons. This guitar has so many little things that truly sets it apart from others. I have owned and play guitars from each end of the spectrum and Takamine always impresses me. Guitar has electronics that I didnt HAVE to have on this one, but they are excellent. Very nice heavy-duty, hard shell case was included in this purchase.

Sweetwater if by far the best company to work with when it comes to feeling like a valued customer. They give one-on-one attention, answering any emails and following up with phone calls. Nick has been truly "instrumental" in this purchase. Ordered this around noon on Friday and had it by about 2 on Saturday. Definitely gets 5 stars from me. close [-]
