This thing is unreal. All of my mics have received an improvement with this rack. the clarity is incredible-- i can use my mics for their purpose, and the detail is INCREDIBLE. it really gives you more options because you hear what your mics were designed to hear, giving you all sorts of crazy ideas about your locker. M/S decoding is a big bonus- tracking this into a DAW is easy and consistent, and it has an image meter- SICK! i have had great results with this on acoustic guitar and vocals. i would imagine that there's too much detail for electric guitar amps, but again, if you have a grittier mic, it would probably sound incredible. i have yet to try it on that. the gain structure is incredible- clean, even gain at ALL levels. i have NEVER heard razor sharp detail like this in any preamp. if you want unnatural color and litter in your signal, get a focusrite. if you want clear, hot tracks that do your mic cabinet justice, get this or the P8. i haven't done the DI's yet because i have my favorite solution for that, but i can't imagine any lacking there. i might sell mine to get the P8 now that I think about it...hmmm...
