How can it be any easier?
by Rick F. from St.Paul MN, August 2008
Music Background: 17 years making my own music.
The original Oxygen 8 was great and easy to use and now they took it up a notch with transport controls.
You couldn't ask for a better or more simple to use controller. I use it with Reason 4.0.1 and its all set to go with that.
This with a M-Audio Portable Studio Backpack set you free from being locked in your house making music.
Now you can compose that symphony at the park down the street.
It couldn't be better.
Oxygen 8 v2

Music Background: Vintage Hip Hop
Oxygen 8 v2 seems like it COULD be a nice tool for producing, it's a little complicated to get to work like you want it too, but if you have a lot of time on your hands then this is the way to go, if you're like me and you want to get to it right away, then just go buy a regular keyboard, it's not worth the headache, but like i said if you have enough time to learn how to program it then it can be good.
M-Audio 8: Small Package, Big Potential.
by Shad from Sterling, VA USA, September 2006
Music Background: Hobbyist
For those musicians whose studios are short on space, the M-Audio Oxygen 8 is a perfect solution to cramped quarters. Featuring a 25-note velocity sensitive keyboard, pitch bend and modulation wheels, and 8 assignable controller knobs, the M-Audio Oxygen 8 keyboard will allow you to compose your grandest pieces in a small physical space. Powered via USB, this keyboard is also a great solution to those who need to have a portable keyboard. With its small size and big potential, the M-Audio Oxygen 8 can’t be beat.
A handy portable keyboard
by vince from Des Moines, IA, USA, July 2006

Great for travel -- couple this with a laptop and Reason and you are set. Very light, enough buttons and knobs to automate most of the settings you'll want to tweak, and works out of the box.
