Beating all ExpectationsWell, talk about nice suprises. I got this to be my main MIDI system for my computer and it works well, manually mapped most controls and all, pretty good so far.
The surprise was when I plugged it in via the camera connection kit to my iPad; it just works!
I was able to use it on all MIDI-capable apps and on some of them, I was able to map parameters to the physical controls.
It does not have normal MIDI in/out ports (USB only), only one input for pedals and its synth-action keys might be too light for some but for now it is doing fantastically.

Great BUY!For the price, it's a great little keyboard. The direct link functionality is really cool, all of my Logic controls can be operated from the key. I find that it really free's up my hands from using the mouse. As far as keys go, this is one of the simplest hook ups, plug it into the Mac and open up a session, the control surfaces in the DAW recognize it immediately and BOOM! Your recording. Thanks for the suggestion Sweetwater. I like the Oxygen 61 a lot!

M-Audio Oxygen 61My M-Audio Oxygen 61 Keyboard is working great. Beware, if using Logic Pro 8 as your main recording application, the automatic mapping of you sliders, knobs etc. will not work when connecting you oxygen. There is a manuel work around I found on youtube, but it's a pain. From my research the oxygen will map automatically with the new Logic 9. $500 buck.s For that price I'll do without for now. Other than that the keyboard is great.

Good and affordable.Great controller for the price, best 61 keyboard for the price. Awesome with pro tools! the only flaw is the light keys, since I like playing grands a lot...but it's affordable, portable, and easy to use. Highly recommended if it's within your price range.
