Rode S1, AudioTechnica AE6100 & AE5400, Audix OM5 & OM7.
I love this mic! Extra top-end(but not harsh)so you never have to touch your EQ. Great gain before feedback thanks to the hyper-cardioid pattern so you can crank your PA channel. Slices right through my loud horn band (We do B S & T, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower Of Power). If you're a singer in search of that one great vocal mic GET IT! You won't be sorry.

Music Background:  SOUND REINFORCEMENT INDOOR AND OUTDOOR VENUES

A SOLID LEAD VOCAL MICROPHONE FOR THE BUCK. VERY LOW, (IF ANY) NOISE AND NON-EXISTENT HANDLING NOISE. SEEMS TO BE A BOOST IN THE HIGH RANGE, YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE YOU HIGH FREQUENCYS AT 0db IF NOT A LITTLE LESS. THIS POSSIBLY COULD BE A GREAT FEMALE VOCAL MIC, OUR BAND DOES NOT POSESS A FEMALE SINGER. THE BOTTOM END IS KILLER WITH NO RUMBLE. OVERALL, A VERY TRANSPARENT AND NATURAL SOUNDING MICROPHONE.

I bought this microphone to replace my Beta 58. I wish I had done that a long time ago. This is a natural sounding mic, that has the boost in the human vocal range; which does help in a classic rock band, playing in smaller venues, at age 52. I enjoy the low feedback problems, as well as the mics "sweetspots" - thus allowing you to "control" the mic. So far; no problems. I always recommend a very good mic cable, if you are spending more than 49.95 for a microphone- otherwise a good signal gets lost before the mixer through a crappy cable. I think these guys are on to something, and I'm glad I found it. Try one, and see if I'm wrong.
