From Our Research Team:

A Dynamic Vocal Mic Optimized for the Stage!

The Beyerdynamic Opus 89 dynamic microphone sounds incredible, plus, it's built for the road! Rock singers will love the fast response, high feedback rejection, and low handling noise of the Beyerdynamic Opus 89. Its sturdy construction, a built-in pop shield, and relatively level proximity effect add up to a handheld live vocal mic you can use anywhere, effectively. A shock-mounted capsule also helps to significantly reduce handling noise. You want maximum control of your onstage gear. Start with the rugged, great-sounding Beyerdynamic Opus 89.

Beyerdynamic Opus 89 Dynamic Microphone at a Glance:
  • Built tough
  • Great sound, feedback resistant

Built tough
Constructed with the road in mind, Beyerdynamic's Opus 89 features a tough barrel design, built-in pop filter to stop plosives, and shock-mounted capsule inside of a strong steel mesh grille. Its extraordinary feedback rejection (courtesy of a hypercardioid pickup pattern) makes this mic ideal for the stage. The Opus 89 is built for the long haul!

Great sound, feedback-resistant
The Opus 89 dynamic microphone gives you transparent sound for live-vocal applications, especially for rock and pop singers. Using the rare-earth Neodymium magnet structure of the TG-X 60 it provides fast transient response. Tailored for vocals, the Opus 89 has a "smoothed" proximity effect, so singing close up or farther away won't bother this mic.

Beyerdynamic Opus 89 Dynamic Microphone Features:
Hypercardioid polar pattern
Extremely high volume before feedback
Vocal tailored frequency response, "smoothed" proximity effect
Rugged construction to withstand touring damage
Shock absorbing rubber ring
Shock-mount system

The Beyerdynamic Opus 89 dynamic microphone is ready for any stage!

I enjoy the low feedback problems, as well as the mics "sweetspots" - thus allowing you to "control" the mic. So far; no problems.
