Beyer fan for life!

I purchased my first Beyer mic (M69) over 10 years ago when everyone was buying the Shure 58. I've always thought Beyer's sound was cleaner and clearer; they've proved me right once again with the Opus 69. I'm definitely a Beyer customer for life!

Excellent for vocals

My buddy purchased a used Beyer mic, and I've been impressed with them ever since. I bought the Opus 69 2 years ago from Sweetwater, and it is an awsome vocal mic. This thing gets used for band practice every week and gigs every other month. It's been dropped, kicked, spat on, had brew spilled on it, and it keeps right on going, no problems. It has a very warm response, very clear, very detailed and quiet. The other vocalist in my band uses a Shure Beta 58A, and I like my Beyer better. It's warmer and richer sounding. A real bargain.

This mic is one of the best kept secrets for live vocals. I compared several mics by AKG, Sennheiser,& others in the 200-300$ price range as well as my trusty SM58 & ND757. The OPUS69 (great name!) was the hands down winner. Clean high end definition with good proximity effect that experienced vocalists depend on. Great feedback rejection. All the other guys in the band want to use it. Whenever I do a gig where a sound company provides sound I insist on using my Beyer. Everytime we finish our set, the soundman wants to know what I'm using..They love it too!
