I wanted a dedicated Nashville tuning set up guitar for recording and had been considering one of the many quality solid-top acoustics available in the market currently. The downside is that it would ... read more [+]require the cutting of a new nut and bridge/saddle and overall set up out of the box due to the significant difference in string tension. This guitar just made perfect sense, as it is built for the application and comes with decent electronics and a hard case. Also, the price drop on the version without the cut-away was very attractive. The guitar was perfectly set up and the intonation was very good across the length of the fretboard. The acoustic sound is wonderful, especially when played simultaneously with another guitar. I've not tested the electronics yet, but have Fishmans in my other acoustics and love them. It would be cool to have the option for the extra high E (vs. the one octave higher one) a' la David Gilmour... I haven't tried it, but anticipate the bigger groove in the nut will make it low and buzz-y.
