Customer Reviewsfrom Southeast Georgia July 16, 2008 Music Background: producer, studio owner, multi-instrumentalist Won't Go WrongI feel a little premature in writing this review since I haven't used these mics in a stereo configuration yet, but I'll share what I've experienced thus far.Individually, these mics are excellent vocal mics, and I've used them on acoustic guitars with great results - with practically no EQ or compression. I don't have a high-end mic pre, but this mic has good sonic characteristics and is good at keeping room noise to a minimum. It's rather versatile, as I've cut some very good tracks with rappers, solo-acoustic artists, acoustic instruments, and from my experience so far I think these mics will suit just about any application given the proper setup. If you're looking for a stereo pair of mics that are incredibly versatile, you won't go wrong buying this pair. The only thing you'll have to watch for on these mics is the "plosives", as these are sensitive mics with vocalists. Certain applications may require a bass roll-off. Hey, you won't get a strong 'S' or 'P' off an acoustic guitar or Marshall stack! But for a full sound on instruments, it offers a nice, broad sound. Incredible buy for the price. |
